The Atlas moth (Attacus atlas) is a large saturniid moth found in the tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia, and common across the Malay archipelago.
 
 
The Naga Bhut Jolokia, ghost pepper, ghost chili pepper, and ghost chili is recognized by the Guinness book of world records as being the Hottest chilli pepper in the world !.This pepper is now grown in the resort.
 
 
A particularly rare species of butterfly found at wild woods spa.One of them has a long tail and brown in colour and the other one is of an orange tinge with a shorter tail.

The resort houses a floral garden consisting of varieties locally and globally.These diverse varieties are painstakingly collected and populate the entire property of wild woods spa. Rare species of orchids, creepers, floral gardens, cactus garden and a greenhouse show the unique diversity of the resort.

The abundant water bodies, more than thousand fragrant trees like Champaka, Cannanga, Odrata, and Shouria Robusta etc. bloom extravagantly in Wild Woods Spa.

Fauna-endemic species of india

Certain endemic species of India such as the Giant Malabar Squirrel, Flying Lizard and Black Langur etc. have made their home in the resort. One can find them during their feeding time in and around the resort.

Exotic Birds not necessarily found in bird sanctuaries can be found in the resort. The resort attracts plenty of native and migratory birds of India.

Horn Bills, Asian Fairy Blue Bird, Asian Paradise Fly Catchers (White & Orange), Malabar Grey Hornbills, Pied Hornbills, White Bellied Drongos, Sunbird (2-3 varieties), Verditer Flycatcher, Kingfisher, and myriads of Wood peckers are some of the commonly found native birds of the western Ghats region. Migratory birds such as the Eurasian Golden Oriole are one of the rare visitors.

Waterfalls

The twin waterfalls visible from the resort are a breath-taking sight. One can reach the waterfalls through an adventurous trek while passing across thick rainforest. The trek ia always breathtaking but the falls look best during monsoon, when the waterfalls are in full flow.


Stream Around the Resort

The resort is encircled by a steady stream of water all around the external perimeter upto nearly 1 kms.We arrange treks to the nearby waterfalls,boating,coracle rides,and adventure fishing camp in the stream at night to bring out the wanderer in you.
